Trauma can make you feel like a stranger to yourself. Anxiety can make it hard to focus and start running the show.
Whether it stems from one distinct event or years of accumulated stress, trauma and anxiety have a way of pulling you out of your own life. You might notice yourself going through the motions, feeling disconnected from your body, or being unsure of how to feel like "you" again.
They shape more than just your memories; trauma and anxiety can shape how you see yourself, how you relate to others, and how safe the world feels.
Greater Boston is a place that rewards achievement. Between top universities, hospitals, biotech, finance, and demanding graduate programs, it can feel like everyone around you is excelling, and like you can’t afford to slow down. If you’re a first-generation student or professional, an eldest daughter, or the child of immigrants, you may also be carrying your family’s sacrifices and hopes. Even when things look successful from the outside, you may feel exhausted, isolated, or like you’re always one mistake away from falling behind.
Anxiety and trauma therapy is a chance to put some of that weight down.
You may also recognize some of these:
For many BIPOC adults, anxiety and trauma don’t come from one place. They can build from growing up with messages like “what will people say?” or “we don’t talk about that,” from experiences of racism and microaggressions at work or school, or from the building weight of stress and grief passed down through families who have survived migration and loss.
You may have learned to minimize your pain, keep the peace, or handle everything on your own. Those strategies likely helped you get through hard things. They also may be costing you now.
Therapy here is a space where you don’t have to explain or defend your culture, your family, or your reactions. Your background and values are respected, not treated as the problem.

In our work, you'll have the space to:
We’ll start by getting to know you and what you hope to feel instead. You’re always in control of the pace, and you never have to share details of what happened before you’re ready. Therapy isn’t about reliving your hardest moments. We’ll begin by building safety and stability, like learning ways to calm your body and manage overwhelming emotions, and then, when you feel ready, gently explore the patterns underneath. Sessions are collaborative and combine practical, evidence-based tools with space for your story.

Hi, I'm Sabiha. Having spent 8 years growing and developing my professional career in Boston, I know what it's like to be in an environment that thrives on success, achievement, and ambition. The joys that come with falling in love with your career and community, all while wondering if you can keep going towards the next milestone and the one after that. Because of this, this work is important to me. Having a space to talk through and recognize the pressure and separate it from your self worth can be life changing.
I’m a licensed clinical social worker passionate about creating a space where you don’t have to hold it all together. I help adults in the Greater Boston Region process anxiety, trauma, and PTSD in a way that feels collaborative and personalized. I draw on cultural humility and evidence-based approaches to meet you where you are with techniques that feel appropriate to and resonate with your lived experience.
Feeling lost or disconnected from your own life is challenging and can take a toll. I invite you to take that step to feel comfortable in your body and like the main character of your story again.
Together, we can help you feel safe in your body, confident in your choices, and reconnected to who you are.
